Publication of 2007 Assessment Changes
2007 Assessments Now Available on Our Web Site
On November 13, 2007, all property owners in Milton Township were notified of the changes to assessed value. These changes resulted from the state mandated general reassessment this office is required to conduct every four years. More than 40,000 notices were mailed out in compliance with the State of Illinois Property Tax Code.
The average change in Milton Township is an increase of 7.2%. This does not mean property taxes will increase 7.2%. Property tax rate increases are capped at the lower of the CPI or 5% annually.
On November 15, 2007 the DuPage County Supervisor of Assessments published the 2007 assessment values in the Wheaton Leader and the Glen Ellyn News. The publication date commences the Dupage County Board of Review's annual 30-day property assessment appeal filing period.
